![]() ![]() One Saturday night while sitting at home bored (because I was used to being at the bar) I began telling God that I would follow His ways and committed to staying clean, but I desperately needed something to fill these voids that now existed in my life. Through a conviction of my heart and God reaching out to me through a select few individuals (awesome story here), I stopped all my addictions cold turkey and replaced those by becoming addicted to helping others and my Faith in God, these revelations broke my heart in a good way and opened my eyes to a new way of life. This is very close to my heart because as you may know, in 2010 I was self-destructing and going through a personal “storm” in my life found myself depressed, consumed with anxiety and addicted to many drugs & alcohol. We finally got in studio, banged it out and it and finally released it. I worked on this for over a year to line up Nate, arrange time with a producer and create the right music. I chose him to perform it because I knew that taking someone who typically raps and ripping them out of their comfort zone and having them actually sing would get what I wanted to convey which is a very raw and emotional sound, which is precisely what came out. He is a young Christian rapper with a great testimony, but this song is not rap. This the song I wrote about how More-Self-Less was created, performed by my friend Nate Feuerstein. As you now know, my sanity resides in my ability and opportunity to pour into others through daily life through this organization.
